About NexPhase Home Improvement
After decades in corporate technology—including Hughes Aircraft, Motorola, IBM, Accenture, and Salesforce—I returned to what’s always felt like home: building things and solving real-world problems. What most people don’t know is that I grew up in the trades, working in my family’s HVAC business and apprenticing as a carpenter. I have always been a DIY enthusiast and “friends & family” fixer/consultant.

step one
We meet with you in your home to understand your goals, your priorities, and how your family uses the space. This helps us define the project clearly from the start.
step two
During this step we’ll review the remodel drawings. If needed, we can guide you through developing drawings yourself for simpler projects or recommend an architect and/or designer for more complex aspirations. Through this planning process you will make decisions about things like room layouts, window and door placement, appliances, finishes and more. If you already have these approved drawings, this planning step can be streamlined.
step three
With plans in hand we will translate your vision into a clearly defined project build scope and detailed proposal. We’ll select your team, price out materials, lock in on timing and duration and collaboratively produce a contract that we will use going forward as the definition of your project. We review it together, refine as needed, and ensure the plan fits the timeline and the investment priorities. Once the scope, budget and timing are approved by both of us, your project is ready to go.
step four
This is where our professional tech backgrounds really shine. Before construction work begins, we walk through all final logistics, define site protection measures, and expectations. This step ensures your home is respected, your routines are considered, and everyone is fully prepared for a smooth construction experience. You’ll know exactly what’s happening and when — no surprises.
step five
Now for the fun part, the build! Throughout construction, our team will manage every detail — from the craftspeople on site to the quality of workmanship and day-to-day progress. Communication is a priority: we conduct a formal status meeting with you, in person each week to review updates, get sign off on potential change orders, answer questions, and ensure you always feel informed and supported.

As your project nears completion, we perform a thorough walkthrough together to create a punch list of all the final details that need to be checked off. Our work isn’t done until every detail is completed. We then hand over your beautifully transformed home ready for you and your family to enjoy.

How far in advance should we reach out to start a remodel?
Yes. NexPhase supports everything from full kitchen and bathroom remodels to punch lists, repairs, and pre-sale home preparation. Whether it’s a single room or a whole-home update, we tailor the process to fit the size and scope of your project.
Do you handle both large remodels and smaller repair projects?
We carry full professional and general liability insurance.

Clear communication is a core part of our process. You’ll receive weekly in-person check-ins, plus updates throughout the week as needed. We’re always available to answer questions, review progress, and make sure you feel informed and supported at every step.
How do you communicate during the remodel?
Yes. Whether you already have selections in mind or need guidance, we help you navigate everything from layouts and fixtures to finishes and final details. Francesca’s background project management and her interest in design makes the decision-making process clear, organized, and enjoyable. We can also connect you with talented, local designers that we have have worked with in the past.
Can you help us choose materials, finishes, and design details?
We do not do cookie-cutter work. Every project is unique, however we can accommodate a variety of personal budgets.
